Since the end of November 2018, the completely new, modernised and renovated pool area on Floor 5 of the hotel has been open. The 5 x 11 sq. pool with a depth of 1,34 m is surrounded by a modern ambience and furniture. The pleasant water temperature is kept at 28°C (82,4°F) the whole year. A blue-tile mirror with the Taschenbergpalais logo is shown on the bottom of the pool, as one of the new design elements. Bright and precious lounge suites invite you to relax on the right and left of the pool.

Artful Saxon pastries served in the playfully elegant ambience of Café Vestibül which is overlooking the hotel’s famous baroque staircase.
Situated at the foot of the hotel's baroque staircase built by legendary 19th century court architect Daniel Pöppelmann, Café Vestibül is a lovely setting to enjoy coffee and tea specialties and exquisite gateaux and cakes from the hotel’s Pâtisserie.
In summer, the picturesque inner courtyard is a great place to relax and sample delightful refreshments.

From the 11th of February to the middle of April 2019 we will completely redesign a large part of our culinary area for you.
The premises of the previous Intermezzo restaurant are being enlarged, redesigned and we are looking forward to the opening of the Kastenmeiers fish restaurant in Taschenbergpalais in April.
In addition, the offer in the hotel itself is extended by a luxurious sushi and oyster bar and a cigar lounge for our smokers.
The usual rich breakfast buffet as well as the culinary offer of the restaurant await you in the meantime in our generous Pop Up restaurant in the picturesque courtyard of the Taschenbergpalais.

Inspired by the famous Oak Room in New York, the classic yet exclusive ambience of Karl May Bar is reminiscent of metropolises around the world. The bar is elaborately furnished with dark panels, fine oak and claret-red leather. In addition to award-winning cocktails, almost 100 kinds of whiskies are served in a sophisticated yet cosy atmosphere.
The Karl May Bar was honoured 2014 with the Glenfiddich Award for Bar Culture, one of the most coveted awards in the bar scene and was also chosen Bar of the Year 2013.

Dresden International Airport is about 10.7 km (6.1 miles) away from the hotel, which is about 20 to 30 minutes by car depending on traffic; by taxi about EUR 30.

Dresden's main station is about 3.6 km (2.4 miles) away from the hotel, which is about ten minutes by car. If you take Tram 8 in the direction of 'Südvorstadt' from the 'Theaterplatz', it is an eight-minute ride to the main station.

Adhere to the guiding system through Dresden city centre by following signs saying "Hotel Route B" and it will lead you right to Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski.
