The Hotel Torre de Ruesga is a wonderful place to stay. When you arrive there, unless you know it before hand, you doubt whether you are or not at the right address... It is a small stone castle sitting on several acres of its own parkland, located in Cantabria’s green land, a small enchanting region with spectacular views, lots of history and an unforgettable gastronomy. Torre de Ruesga is a palace from the XVIII century acquired by a family from Madrid who used to vacation in these parts and decided to move here permanently; so they bought this monumental building, refurbished it completely transforming it into a deluxe hotel at the same time. The remodelling was finished in Easter of 1998. The structure was left intact with all the open raw stone and even some beautiful ceiling frescoes were preserved. Torre de Ruesga offers double rooms as well as suites, all very spacious fitted with every imaginable detail to provide all the comfort and decoration you would expect to find in a five star deluxe hotel.
Torre de Ruesga has not been star rated by the government because the establishment is categorized under rural tourism, but there could not be anything further from the truth...
