In the
centre of the small, hilly and fairly untouched region of
Umbria, overlooking a wide part of the Tiber Northern
Valley,
also called “Museum
Valley” because of its beauty, art and culture, Le Torri
di Bagnara
is an exclusive
historic residence, opened to guests in 1985.
A complex of
3 beautiful medieval buildings from the 11th, 12th, and 17th
centuries
compose the Bagnara estate which stands inside a
1.300
acres/600 hectares Farm
,
owned by the noble family
Tremi-Giunta since
1901,
and who run it with love and respect of nature, care and
enhancement of the environment, hospitality and culture.
The Tower
used in the past as a watch-tower, in defence of the
neighbouring Saint Quirico
Parish Church and Castello della Pieve, is perched high on
the hill, surrounded by a large garden with lovely olive
and fig trees, broom and lavender bushes, and contains 4
apartments, beautifully decorated with ceilings with
frescoes, arched Romanesque windows and arches, and with
wonderful views to the countryside.
The Saint Quirico
Parish Church, which in 1880 hosted Pope Leo XIII, is composed of
a big beautiful church with frescoes inside, a bell tower, a
sacristy and a parish house, has been restored to house 4 rooms
and 3 junior suites. The Casa Quirico, made of stones, in the
middle of a large garden, embroidered by apple, peer, and cherry
trees and bordered by bushes of laurel, dog rose and
rosemary, lies at the beginning of the way towards
the Towers, has the offices, the receptions, and the room for
the tasting and sales of the local products.
Pastures
crossed by the Tiber River, roe deer and hares, small lakes, chestnut, oak and holm-oak
woods, and a wide water-plain with tobacco plantations
surrounds this breathtaking residence, which offers
comfortable
holiday accommodations and first-class service. This
historical gem is a haven of peace, offering exclusive and
elite vacations, thanks to the elegance of
the various apartments, the large
swimming-pool, the gardens full of
flowers, and its first-class
service.
