Troisgros is located in the heart of the countryside, at the foot of a vineyard. It is made up of a farmhouse where guests are received, a kitchen workshop where products are transformed, a restaurant, Le Bois sans Feuilles, were sharing is experienced, and a large Italian-style house where relaxation may be had. All of these spaces have a modern soul and are surrounded by fields, woods, a lake, garden, and orchard. The taste of Marie-Pierre, and that of Michel and César, all guided by the simplicity in cooking, was without a doubt inspired by this new setting.
Maison Troisgros was founded in 1930. With 3 Michelin stars, it enjoys a worldwide reputation. Today, the hotel restaurant is run by Marie-Pierre, Michel, and their son César. The Troisgros family has always remained at the top of their form as they have constantly innovated, in the art of the table as well as the art of hospitality. The house's architecture is in a highly contemporary style. The rooms and communal areas are structured around a beautiful garden. There are little details here and there, intentions, collector's objects, a library, artists' works, and a lot of passion and generosity. An entire team, which is young but already experienced, is dedicated to making your stay unforgettable.
The rooms are splitted between the Main House and the House of the Khakis.
Large and bright, with real bathrooms full of fantasy, they are overlooking the trees and the garden.
At the ground floor, three salons with volume of an italian villa are opening onto a big terrace, with a view on the grassland : in the morning, you can enjoy your breakfast in the salon, you can read a book in the library, you can wander around the green salon.
A little way away, in the building of the old press, three rooms can be joined together to create an independent apartment: it is the House of the Khakis.
Visible from the entrance in the distance, the Bois sans Feuilles (« the Wood Without Leaves ») looks mysterious: could this be an enchanted forest? Once you enter it, tree trunks seem to appear and disappear along the path that leads to the table. Build around a hundred-year-old oak tree, the dining room looks like an extension of the grassy field and the woods beyond. The tables are partially visible behind the folded steel pillars that hold up the roof.
Cooking is in constant motion. It is guided by the generosity of nature and man. To be precise, the cook must stay on the alert and must relentlessly taste and adjust the balance of flavours and textures. This approach is fundamental to me. At the farmers' market, I see the harvest spread before my eyes and I feel excitement. I would not for anything miss this moment when encounter and creation collide.
