As part of Paris' historic
centre, the Left Bank is the ideal location for the business traveller. It
is also perfect for the tourist and shopper. If you are interested in
antiques and art, an easy walk to the CARRÉ RIVE GAUCHE including the Quai
Voltaire and the Rue des Saints-Pères will provide you with some of the
highest quality antiques and art available in Paris, or indeed in the world,
as well as a wonderful view of the Louvre palace and museum just across the
river Seine. |

Then on to nearby SAINT-GERMAIN-DES-PRÉS
where you will discover the oldest standing church in Paris (completed in
A.D. 1014), just across the street from two of Paris' most famous literary
cafés, Les Deux-Magots and Café de Flore. High fashion is also present of
course with Céline in the Rue de Rennes, and the most recent arrivals on the
block, Louis Vuitton, Emporio Armani and Cartier. Yves-Saint-Laurent-Rive-Gauche
is just a stone's throw away, alongside Christian Lacroix, on the Place
Saint-Sulpice, over which towers the monumental church of the same name,
with its chapel painted by Eugène Delacroix. |
