 CAPRI AND
ANACAPRI
Whole day tour escorted by guide. Sailing by steamer Amalfi-Capri.
Tour of the island by private coach. Visit to the Villa S.Michele of Axel
Mounthe. Optional lunch. Visit to the Garden of Augustus and view of the
famous 'Faraglioni'. Free time for shopping. Optional visit to the Blue
Grotto.
 POMPEI AND VESUVIO
Departure from the hotel by
motorcoach to Pompeij. Detailed visit to the excavated town which was buried
in ashes by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 A.D. Optional lunch. Short stop
for a visit to one of the most important cameo and coral factories.
Spectacular drive through rich fruit orchard and old lava flows up to the
summit (on foot) and guided visit to the volcanic crater. Return to the
hotel in time for dinner.
 SORRENTO AND
ERCOLANO
Drive to Sorrento along the untamed beauty of the Amalfi
Coast through the picturesque villages of Conca dei Marini, Furore and
Praiano. Photo-stop at the famous Belvedere of Positano and continue to
Sorrento. Visit the well established inlaid wood-work and ceramic shops.
Time at leasure. Optional lunch. Then to Herculaneum and visit to these
remarkable excavations, the best preserved of the whole Neapolitan area.
Return to the hotel in time for dinner.
 NAPOLI AND
SOLFATARA
Leave
the hotel by coach and along the coast, passing Cetara and Vietri, to Naples,
which was once the capital-city of the region, conquered by several people,
all of whome contributed to the unique character of the city and its people.
Visit of National Museum of Naples, pass the Royal Palace and the battle-scarred
castle, which reminds us of the city's turbulent history. Lunch in a typical
restaurant. Drive out via Mergellina and Fuorigrotta to the Solfatara. Return to the hotel for dinner.
 PAESTUM AND
VIETRI SUL MARE
Drive southward by motorcoach along the 'Sunshine Highway' to
Paestum. Visit to the ancient greek temples dating back to the 6th century
B.C., where you will be impressed by the temple of Neptune, the best
preserved greek temple in the world. The excursion follows to Vietri sul
Mare, the capital of italian ceramist. Gaze at the colourful creations, clay
moulded into the most artistic forms. Put your own skills to the test, and
make an excellent souvenir from your holiday. Return to the hotel at 05.00
hrs pm.
 CASERTA AND
CASSINO
A lovely drive along the coast and on the highway to Caserta.
Visit to the Royal Palace and the delightful tropical gardens and ponds in
the huge Royal Park. Back to the highway towards Cassino. Optional lunch.
Ascent to Mount Cassino and visit to the renowned Abbey bombed during the
second World War and entirely rebuilt in the same style soon after. Return
to the hotel in time to dinner.
 RAVELLO AND
COUNTRY SIDE
An interesting guided drive through the country side to
discover an 'out-of-the-way-place' unspoilt by tourism. A fascinating mosaic
of different local activities with their own traditional crafts. You will
visit an 18th century papermill, a dairy (weather and time permitting), a
winecellar and in Ravello the famous Villa Rufolo.
