Grand Hotel
Villa Serbelloni is a lavish old hotel. It stands proud at the edge of
town against a backdrop of hills, surrounded by beautiful gardens. The
public rooms rekindle the spirit of the baroque: a drawing room with a
painted ceiling, marble columns, a glittering chandelier, gilt
furnishings, and a mirrored neoclassical dining room. The guest rooms
are wide-ranging, from elaborate suites with recessed tile bathrooms,
baroque furnishings, and lake-view balconies to more simple quarters.
The most desirable rooms open onto the lake. You can sunbathe on the
waterside terrace or doze under a willow tree. You will taste the best
of Italian and international gastronomy at the Hotel's Restaurants,
where the chefs will offer you a large variety of dishes such as: The "Agnolotti"
of fresh pasta stuffed with artichokes and potatoes with fresh tomato
fillets; the "Half Moons" of fresh pasta with a stuffing of red turnips
cooked in melted butter and poppy seeds or the mousse of cucumber in
tomatoes emulsion. |
