By Car:
From Catania center:
Following the directions to Highway Catania-Palermo and take direction Palermo for 100 km; exit at Caltanissetta Centro and cross Caltanissetta, go onwards Agrigento for about 60 km. Once in Agrigento follow the direction to Hotel Villa Athena.
From Palermo center:
Option one 130 km: Follow the directions for Highway A29 and then A19 and exit at Villabate; take the SS121 and then SS189 direction Agrigento. Once in Agrigento follow the direction to Hotel Villa Athena.
Option two 199 km: Take the Highway Palermo-Mazzara del Vallo direction Mazzara del Vallo, exit at Castelvetrano and continue in direction of Agrigento. Once in Agrigento follow the direction to Hotel Villa Athena.

▪ The terrace of the Gods ▪
The garden of the villa blends into the landscape of almond and olive trees that surrounds the magnificent millennia-old temples; from here the Temples of Concordia and Juno can be seen on the Terrace of the Gods, with all the enchantment that this spiritually uplifting place can give. The Terrace is therefore in homage to the gods who saw fit to give Villa Athena a show that is repeated every day and from where it is possible to exalt the enogastronomic flavours of the territory.
▪ Granaio di Ibla ▪
The restaurant is characterized by the presence of an ancient Greek cistern, which is perfectly visible thanks to the glass flooring and the lighting which reveals the still-existing ducts which brought the water to the cistern dug in the tufa rock, together with the building materials and lining. In subsequent eras, this cistern was used by the Romans, who lined it with opus signinum, and also by Christians, who created a sepulchral niche inside it which is still visible today. Finally, at the start of the 20th century, it was used for a brief period as a granary. The name "Ibla" is in homage to the writer Sergio Campailla for having dedicated his novel, "The Terrestrial Paradise", to Villa Athena. He called it “Villa Ibla” out of poetic licence. Today, the historical artistic prestige of the restaurant and the hotel is entrusted to the expertise of Salvatore Gambuzza, the multi-prize winning chef who proposes traditional dishes from the area reinterpreted in a modern way. Giovanni Grano, the Maitre d’Hotel, sees that the service is carried out with the respect and the attention of bygone days.

The patio of the ancient villa is a place which is loved both by guests and by those who know how to appreciate the sight of the eighteenth-century colonnade that surrounds the master room.
