Sightseeing

The hotel is located within short driving distance from worth visiting places such as Lago Lungo and Lago di Ripasottile, the Cascate delle Marmore, and  il Cammino de Francesco (the San Francesco Path).
The Cascate delle Marmore is a testament to Roman engineering, forms a landscape of rare and suggesting beauty, that represents an escape from urban scenery. People explore the area in search of unexplored corners or previously unseen views.
Lago Lungo and Lago di Ripasottile are natural reserves, havens for sport fishing.  Not distant from the natural reserve  is situated a complex of religious installations known as the "Holy Valley", including the sanctuaries of Greccio, Forest, San Giacomo, and Source Columbus.

The Mount Terminillo

Mount TerminilloMount Terminillo is the highest mountain in the Lazio Apennines (2216 Mts.) and is situated in the southern part of the Rieti mountain range, bordered to the south and east by the Velino Valley. The Terminillo Ski center, made up of Campoforogna and Pian de’ Valli, is the most important and best equipped in central Italy. Since the road is always passable and public transport is good, it can be easily reached not only from Rome and Rieti but also from Perugia, Ascoli and Pescara. The skiing complex is spread out over the Terminilletto and Terminilluccio slopes and has 15 ski-lifts going up to 2105 Mts. Pistes of varying difficulty run down from this height with a total distance of 40 Kms.

For cross-country skiers there are three circular routes of 5, 7, and 10 Kms. at Campoforogna. The favourite places for Alpine skiers are the peaks of Mount Cambio (2084 Mts.) and Mount Terminillo.
