Located near the top of Positano, in a commanding position, overlooking its enchanting and evocative white landscape and  both the beaches, Hotel Villa Franca was originally an old seigneurial villa which was opened in the 1940', as a bar with a few sleeping rooms. Was remodeled  to include tiled floors, stone from Vesuvius and lacquered terracotta vases, to produce a unique  fresh and memorable look, completely blended with its original architecture. Bay blue, lemon yellow, and cool white are the  colors that where chosen to make this an elegant  stress-dissolving retreat,  set halfway up the town from the beach. The rooms which are not large, have been  beautifully and romantically decorated with a few objets d’art that add a personal touch, and appointed down to the smallest detail, always with each guest's comfort in mind. Some have private balconies with beautiful views of the landscape. The pretty restaurant ‘Li Galli’ with large windows overlooking the sea, offers  a simple, new regional cuisine, based in the original taste of fresh ingredients and their vivid colors,  in perfect harmony with the old flavours.
