Hotel Villa Milani was built in 1880, and was the country residence of the architect Giovanni Battista Milani, one of the most important exponents of the Roman architecture of the first decades of the twentieth century, who enlarged and furnished it according to the classical-renaissance characteristics of the time, enriched by the refined taste of the impassioned of ancient art.
Hotel Villa Milani is situated a few kilometres from the historical centre of Spoleto, in a splendid position that dominates the town, surrounded by eight hectares of natural meadows and woods, the Villa has been ably restored by Giovanna Milani and Luigi Capobianchi to be turned into a hotel that combines the unchanged original characteristics, the comforts of homely hospitality and high quality.
Hotel Villa Milani's restaurant and its creative cuisine is the ideal place where their guests can discover the typical tastes of the past in delightful gourmet menus, always accompanied by vintage wines. The dining-rooms, furnished in very good taste, recall the ancient time and antique decorative elements create a relaxing and elegant atmosphere, proper for a late nineteenth- century mansion.
Situated at about 2 km from the historical centre of Spoleto, on top of a hill overlooking the town and the Umbrian Valley, the residenza d’epoca Villa Milani is a stunning little hotel of only 11 rooms, all different each other, by romantic names of Constellations. Among them the Tower Orione stands out for its incredible 360° view all over the Umbrian country. Its beautiful salon by eclectic style is full of precious works of art and antiques. Located in two little dining rooms, the Restaurant only the guests proposes every evening a fixed menu dinner based on plates of the Umbrian cuisine. In the outdoor area there are a nice Italian garden with ruins from Roman and Renaissance periods, a panoramic terrace with mythological statues, a fascinating swimming pool with hydro-massage area and a natural park of eight hectares with paths through meadows, olive groves and oak trees.
The enchanting architecture, the breathtaking view, the splendid decor, the gorgeous antiques and the warm hospitality let Villa Milani be the ideal place for people keen of high-class and informal environments.
