Elegant and sustainable events for forward-looking companies
The Grand Hotel Majestic and Lago Maggiore Green Meeting: an avant-garde combination that allows you to plan events in a charming setting with utmost respect for the environment.
It is not just a question of beauty: Lago Maggiore is world-renowned. It is not just a question of location: the historical setting at the Grand Hotel Majestic speaks for itself. It is not just a question of liveability: for years the municipality of Verbania has been highly ranked for its dedication to sustainability.
It is not just a question of opportunities and getaways: protected mountain zones, first-class nature parks, excellent food products and unbeatable gardens make this area one of the most wholesome and attractive in all of Europe. And beyond all of this, there is awareness, culture and a common will on behalf of many tourist operators to offer not only leading services, but also ones that respect the environment, avoid excess waste and efficiently manage resources.
These are the reasons why the Grand Hotel Majestic, which has always been receptive to green movements, as demonstrated by its participation with Legambiente, has joined in this innovative and completely avant-garde project now known as Lago Maggiore Green Meeting.
This project, made up of a network of local businesses in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce, has been put into effect via offers aimed at individual clients, businesses, groups and organisations that intend to organise meetings, events and team building experiences motivated to respect the environment thanks to a specific code of conduct.
Based on “best international practices”, this code was presented at the Save the Food conference which was held in Baveno at the beginning of the summer along with the Fondazione Banco Alimentare Onlus (Food Bank Foundation NPO), Last Minute Market and with the support of Federcongressi and Expo 2015.
These guidelines are based on specific and measurable actions set forth to reduce the environmental impact made by providers, organisers and participants, and evaluate every type of activity and service, from management to location and hospitality, catering and transportation, and free time activities and events, including those of marketing and communication.
Thus, planning meetings and events at the Grand Hotel Majestic carries substantial importance because charm, organisation and sustainability are elements that we mix to perfection. Meeting at a luxury location, having five radiant halls at your service characterised by sober elegance and a beautiful view of the lake, equipped with the latest technology such as wi-fi, maxi screens and projectors, and the ability to organise coffee breaks on the stunning panoramic terraces is in itself an exceptional opportunity.
To do it knowing that all the organisational work and hospitality are being performed with sustainable practices using a structured process that reduces the environmental impact undoubtedly adds incredible significance. Every aspect is handled with due diligence: limiting consumption of energy, materials, gas emissions, waste production and use of water are all essential aspects for the hotel.
Environmental awareness and new opportunities for tourism are criteria that have always been at the centre of the hotel’s policies and today, more than ever, we must find new ways to balance them.
Because tourism is and always will be one of the future mechanisms of economic development for the entire country. This development must be a sign of professionalism, respect for cultural values and environmental sustainability. And, the Grand Hotel Majestic is already a step ahead.
Find relaxation and serenity in one of the most enchanting corners of the Borromeo Gulf. The Grand Hotel Majestic boasts an ideal location for great getaways discovering the treasures of Lago Maggiore during your holiday.
Navigating over the waters of Lago Maggiore, you can admire nature, the panoramas and the quaint towns that captivate and allure with their poetic beauty.

Come find exhilarating surprises and moments of total relaxation in one of the most beautiful and natural corners of the world.
From our hotel’s grand terrace you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the Borromean Islands and the impressive gulf from which they get their name... an unparalleled sight.
A trip to the Borromean Islands is the ideal occasion to discover a world in which art and nature have found the perfect union. The Isola Bella holds priceless treasures of art and captivates with its famous garden always in bloom, gleaming with thousands of colours. The biggest island is Isola Madre, which is home to the ancient Palazzo Borromeo surrounded by lush vegetation and its renowned botanical collection. Very close to the Grand Hotel Majestic is the small Island of San Giovanni, summer residence of the composer Arturo Toscanini. A trip to the Borromean Islands would not be complete without a stop at the picturesque Isola dei Pescatori (lit. Fishermen’s Island), which is still today inhabited by families who earn their living as fishermen.
With a relaxing walk or bike ride from the Grand Hotel Majestic, guests have the opportunity of reaching the famous gardens of Villa Taranto to admire their stunning floral landscape.
The gardens of Villa Taranto inundate the view and the spirit with chromatic shades and perfumes of incredible floral varieties, luscious and dreamy embellishments, and fountains and statues that emerge through hundreds of glorious botanical creations. This extraordinary garden was planned and created by the Scottish captain Neil Mac Eachern who acquired the villa in 1931 with the exact intention of creating a temple dedicated to nature as an act of homage to his beloved Lago Maggiore.
Verbania is definitely one of the most famous areas of Lago Maggiore characterised by its timeless charm and its evocative and enchanting atmosphere.
Stresa’s jewel is undoubtedly its elegant street along the lakeside, which is home to magnificent 19th century villas, lush gardens and fine hotels in Art Nouveau and Baroque architecture. The atmosphere of luxury and style reminiscent of the Belle Époque era hosts conferences and prestigious international events such as the Stresa Music Weeks.
Charming sceneries of lakes and mountains
We recommend taking a trip to Cannero Riviera situated less than half an hour from the Grand Hotel Majestic and famous for its enchanting panoramas facing both the lake as well as inland.
From the centre of Cannero Riviera a pleasant walk leads to lovely views of the lake, the evocative Castelli di Cannero and the quaint town of Luino on the shores of Lombardy.
Among the lush chestnut woods, grape harvests and small rural villages, numerous inland pathways and mule tracks offer exhilarating panoramas and a remarkable view of Alto Lago Maggiore.
Thanks to two wind currents – the Tramontana blowing from the north in the morning, and Inverna blowing from the south in the afternoon – you can try windsurfing, yachting and, above all, sailing on Lago Maggiore all year long.
Plunges, slides, streams, jumps through rigid waterfalls, and clear waters that run through the wild… Canyoning at Lago Maggiore always guarantees big thrills.
Lago Maggiore is a great place to take up sports especially with canoes and kayaks exploring the infinite natural and architectural wonders that adorn every glance.
Between valleys and sweet hills, tall summits and poetic ponds, all of the nature surrounding Lago Maggiore offers stunning trails for trekking excursions for every skill level.
The many roads that run along the lake make for an ideal path for those who want to take pleasure in an active holiday on bike whilst enjoying the view of the remarkable landscapes of the lake.
La Beola, the hotel’s main restaurant, radiates grand elegance yet with a relaxed spirit, where pampering guests is our main focus. Our special ingredient accompanying every menu is the suggestive view over Lago Maggiore granted by the restaurant’s ample windows.
We study the refinement and harmony of flavours
