It was a popular place in which to stay for the nobility in the 19th century, and in the 1950s to 1970s, it became a major meeting place for politicians. The Ameron Hotel Königshof is located in the centre of Bonn city, yet in a quiet area between the banks of the river Rhine and the Hofgarten. The tram station “Universität/Markt”, for the trams 16, 62, 63, 66, 67, 68, is located only 350m from the hotel and thus guarantees perfect travel connections with public transport in and around Bonn. Furthermore, quick and comfortable travel is also ensured thanks to the proximity of the motorways A555/A565 and the airport Cologne/Bonn.

BY TRAIN

You can reach us in 10-15 minutes on foot directly from Bonn central station:
  • Keep right when coming out of the main building of the central station
  • Cross the bus station
  • Keep left at the Kaiserplatz
  • Continue straight along the university building and the Hofgarten
  • Cross the traffic lights at the Adenauerallee
Turn right and enter the next road on the left

A taxi ride from the station will also take approx. 10 minutes, as the route through the city centre is somewhat complicated.

Depending on the traffic, a taxi ride between the hotel and Cologne-Bonn airport will take between 30-40 minutes and cost approximately 40.00 €. Furthermore, you can also take the airport bus SB60, which provides a shuttle service between Bonn central station and Cologne/Bonn airport every 30 minutes. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. The Hotel Königshof is then only 15 minutes walk away from the central station or 10 minutes by taxi.

BY CAR

  • Coming from the north: A565 exit Bonn-Auerberg, bare left under the motorway onto Graurheindorfer Straße, turn left into Augustusring, right into Römerstraße, straight ahead through the university archway, then take the 1st left and follow the signs.
  • Coming from the south: A565 exit Bonn/Poppelsdorf/Bad Godesberg, take the 4-lane Reuterstraße straight ahead over the railway bridge, bare left towards Bonn-City, follow the Adenauerallee, turn right after 1.5km just before the university archway, then follow the signs.
