Lungo Lario Trieste 16 22100 Como − Italy
In the centre of Como, overlooking the lakefront, this historical Art Nouveau palace is composed of the Plinius building and the Pianella wing. An enchanting view of one of the world's most famous landscapes.
Located in the heart of the city it is the ideal starting point for visiting the antique and modern architectural splendours of Como: the Cathedral, the Social Theatre and the rationalist style buildings.
The reflection of the lake opposite illuminates the stone steps leading up to the vast reception hall of the Palace Hotel where a traditional warm welcome is waiting for you. The hall is decorated by large paintings with ornate frames. From here elegant corridors lead you into the luxurious lounge area illuminated by crystal chandeliers, smaller quiet lounge rooms and the Restaurant.
Peace and tranquillity are the order of the day in the light, spacious bedrooms located on the second and third floors overlooking the Lake or the historical centre of Como. Palace Hotel is a small happy world.

TWO STYLES, ONE SOUL
When it was built in 1898, this remarkable property was named "Grand Hotel Plinius"; the engineer Giuseppe Salvioni drew the original project whilst the young architect Federico Frigerio designed the magnificent decoration of the top floor.
A majestic palace on the lakefront, featuring the Belle Epoque style and modern comforts, made it stand out amongst the other hotels in the city.
Como was slowly discovering its call for tourism, but sadly the two World Wars took place and the hotel closed and re-opened several times. It underwent renovation and was taken over by different owners. In 1992 the name changed to "Palace Hotel" and increased its room capacity by adding the adjacent wing - the Pianella - and also opened the Congress Centre. Since 2005 the hotel is managed by the renowned group of Villa d'Este.
Today, the two styles of the Palace Hotel perfectly combine past and present, with a glance into the future.
